A Single Streetlight

A simple streetlight...

Where the children wait after leaving from school, and prepare to cross the street...

Where vendors set up and sell their products...

Where two old friends reunite once again after many years...

Where relationships begin...

Where they end...

Where conversations between businessmen are held...

Where groups of teenagers gather and blast their obnoxious music...

Where people advertise their business, and pass out coupons and flyers...

Where people dressed in costumes dance, and take pictures with spectators...

Where little children run to spook the flock of birds walking around for food...

Where the homeless wait, some begging for food or money...

Where at night, the prostitute waits for her next customer...

Where at night, drugs deals are made in secret...

Where at night, innocent people are mugged, and left with nothing...

Where people are stabbed, and left there to bleed out...

Where an innocent man, just walking home late from work to see his family, gets shot by a drive by shooting, and slowly dies on the spot, because there is no one there...

And the last thing the man sees, is the single streetlight...

One inanimate object, how many stories it could tell...
